Solar Power Solar Power

We have always been people of the sun. For millennia, its daily and seasonal movements timed our lives and the warmth of this near star helped us to survive the Ice Ages. Great civilizations were built around sun cults. The light from the east is found in almost all ancient and indigenous stories and sacred texts. Yet, as time marched on, we distanced ourselves from this natural source of energy. Our environment has suffered. The atmosphere has warmed as the result of the burning of fossil fuels. Entire watersheds have been modified by hydropower projects. No one wants to store nuclear wastes in their backyards or have them shipped down their highways. To the benefit of man and our environment, power from the sun has come full circle -- returning to center stage. New technologies and manufacturing techniques, government subsidies, and the rising cost of fossil fuels have made photovoltaic (PV) devices affordable, efficient and accessible. They are no longer the private domain of the avant-garde and wealthy. New industries are being spawned and mature ones reinvigorated. The PV industry has maintained a yearly growth rate of 30% and there are now more jobs in the industry than qualified people in the United States to fill them. Our role is to facilitate the building of relationships between interested employers and qualified candidates. Our recruiting philosophy follows on these web pages.
